Introducing

XGEM  Hybrid Electric Vans

What are XGEM-HEVs?

-

XGEMs are remanufactured and electrified Vans.  The vehicle utilizes the legendary Ford truck chassis known for its strength and durability.  The Ford Motor Company has been developing vans for nearly 40 years and know the kind of engineering that people want and expect in a vehicle that will be doing virtually everything.  XGEM is adding value to this established vehicle.

The
XGEM-HEV is designed for special applications such as the Mobility market and fleet applications for cities, counties, municipalities and private operations.
A variety of leasing programs are available.

What makes XGEM unique?

-

  • The wheel and brake housings feature a patented in-the-wheel-electric motor and regenerative brake assembly

  • The Ford gas engine, transmission and drive train is replaced with a rotary engine-generator controllers and in-the- wheel motors.

  • Two battery packs are installed within the I-Beam chassis of the Van and underneath the floor-board.

  • The accelerator pedal/controller sends electrical current to the wheels.

What is XGEM's Performance?

-

The XGEM-HEV operates on regular fuels such as gasoline, diesel, propane, and alcohol.  These fuels power a proprietary engine-generator which continuously charges the on-board batteries and the electric wheels.

Optional photovoltaic panels mounted on the roof can charge the vehicle while it is parked.

Depending on the load of the vehicles, gas mileage is 2 to 3 times greater than a conventional gasoline powered van.

Emissions are the lowest in the industry, below the proposed CARB requirements for the year 2008.
